Calling Survivors!

Can you feel the Spring coming on?  We’re embarking on a beautiful season for nourishment, renewal & healing, as well as giving and receiving support.

Registration is now open for female adult survivors of child sexual abuse who would like to participate in an 8-week group. Our start date is Wednesday, March 22nd!

The Survivors Group is a group for female adult (age 18+) survivors of child sexual abuse (abuse occurring at age 14 and younger). The group will meet for 8 weeks from 5:30pm-7:30pm. The cost of the group is $50 + gst per session, and will take place at 1125 Howe Street in Vancouver, BC.  I’d love to hear from you and discuss if the group is a good fit for where you are in your healing journey!  Please contact for more information.

Facts about CSA:

• Definition: All sexual touching between an adult and a child is sexual abuse. Sexual touching between children can also be sexual abuse when there is a significant age difference between the children or if the children are very different developmentally or size-wise. Sexual abuse does not have to involve penetration, force, pain, or even touching. If an adult engages in any sexual behavior (looking, showing, or touching) with a child to meet the adult’s sexual needs or interest, it is sexual abuse. Most often child sexual abuse is a gradual process and not a single event (from StopItNow.org).

• Experts estimate that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused in the United States.

• 88% of women who have experienced sexual abuse suffer from a chronic health condition.

• 93% of juvenile sexual abuse victims know their abuser.

Words from Past Participants:

“Trust me when I say this will sometimes be very painful and difficult, but there is a light. You will discover in yourself a better awareness of why you feel the way you do, how you can put these feelings in perspective. Most of all you will realize you are not alone.”

“Stick with the group and you too will grow strong and confident. This is a place of unconditional love.”

“After going through this course, I feel comfortable in my own skin. I have a calm confidence that gives me ease. I believe in myself, and I am not afraid to show my true colors. I feel like I understand what happened to me and how the pieces of my life fit together.”

“Trauma has a lot less power on my life. I have a lot more power on my life.”

“I will no longer allow anyone else to define who I am and where I’m going.”
